Use LinkedIn's "Mobile" Business Card
LinkedIn is the world's largest network for professional, with over 200 million members at the start of 2013. It's set up in the style of a social network, where you connect with other members, join groups, comment or "like" statuses, etc.
For business owners, LinkedIn gives you the benefit of connecting with other businesses owners. Its tools, such as the questions and answers or groups, allows you to position yourself as a leader in your industry.
LinkedIn also offers a mobile application. Download it for free on your smartphone, and network on-the-go. When you're at a trade show or event, ask the person you're connecting with to turn on the LinkedIn app on their smartphone. Then, bump your phones together lightly. If they have their settings correct, then LinkedIn will transfer your contact information between phones. No need to type out names, write anything down, or try and remember where they work, as this app instantly transfers your information.
