Speed Test Your Website
There are several tools that allow you to evaluate the many factors that contribute to the speed of your web pages and identify which factors are causing your web pages to load more slowly.
Page speed is one of the many factors Google uses in its ranking algorithm. Aside from the fact that you want your site to load quickly for your customers, the search engines also view page speed as an important factor. Increasing the load speed of your web pages could help you in the search engines.
Evaluating page speed can be complicated as there are so many factors (including your internet connection) that determine how fast a webpage will load for you. Fortunately, Google has a free tool available to help test some of the key factors. Using Google's PageSpeed Insights you can get a page speed score that highlights areas where your webpage could be improved. Generally, scores above 85 are doing very well, while scores below 85 show room for improvement. Check out your page speed today and see how you rank!
