Create or Claim Your Free Business Listings
Want your business to appear in search results online when people are searching for a particular business, product or service in your area (for example, "snowboards Portland")? Create your local business listing with search engines like Google or Bing. This service is free, and you can create one in just a few minutes.
Create a listing for both Google Places for Business and Bing Places for Business. Both accounts are set up very similar. They both display a "Get Started" button on their front page, or the option to "Sign in" with your Gmail or Microsoft account. If you do not have either of these accounts, one can be created for free in less than a minute.
Once you are signed in and ready to get started, complete the forms with current information about your business. Include your website address, phone number, hours of operation, and details about your products and services. You will also have the options for other promotional features, including adding images or video. Many additional pieces of information are optional, such as photos or alternate phone numbers. We recommend filling out as much information as you can.
