Add Zoomable Images to Your Product Pages
In the early days of the Internet when connection speeds were slow it took a long time for browsers to load large images. Product images needed to be small so web pages could load as quickly as possible. With faster connection speeds large images are no longer the issue they once were. In fact, itís often a great idea to include larger images of your products so that shoppers can zoom in to see the details.
Zoomable images allows shoppers to roll their cursor over the product image to view a closeup of the product. Larger images help shoppers get a better sense of your products so they can make a purchasing decision without physically seeing and touching the product.
To add zoomable images to your product pages you need to ask your web development platform provider if they support image zooms. If you are a HEROweb/MightyMerchant customer, you can contact us about implementing the Image Zoom feature on your site.
