In an appropriate theme for this season of growth, MightyMerchant is pleased to announce the addition of another employee, Johan Mulyono, who interned for us in the fall. We have also had a chance to reflect on the growth we have experienced over the past several years, as we celebrated the 5-year anniversaries of two of our valued team members - Kathy and Jeanie.
Our MightyMerchant eCommerce Blog continues to grow with the addition of a new subscribe-by-email feature, and we're announcing some changes to our email account pricing policy. The referral incentive program we announced in a special bulletin last month has been extended. Please read on for more details.
We also provide some tips and important information for managing the spam settings related to your MightyMerchant email account. In this issue we also have the first part in a planned three part series on copyright law. Part 1 looks at the basics of what a copyright means, and ways that your online content could be vulnerable to unauthorized use.
In our Client Profile this month we talk to Rick Cricow of YuJean.com, who runs his business offering trend merchandise such as buttons, stickers, patches and more from the town right next door to us, Eugene, Oregon.

-- Staff Anniversaries
Two of our employees celebrated their 5-year anniversaries with MightyMerchant in February, Project Manager Jeanie Dunn and Web Designer Kathy Smith. Both of these team members have seen many changes here and we hope will be with us for many more years. Congratulations Jeanie and Kathy!
-- New Staff
Johan Mulyono joined us as an intern last fall. Now that he has completed his studies in computer programming at the University of Oregon, we are pleased to welcome him on as a full time staff member. Johan's primary focus is web programming and site development. And as with everyone else on our staff he will be pitching in to help you with whatever support questions you throw our way. We are all hopeful Johan will teach us some dance moves from his native Indonesia during lunch break--when Jeanie, Kathy and Kathleen aren't playing Boggle, that is!
-- Referral Incentive Extended
Last month, we sent a special email bulletin announcing a referral incentive program, which we are extending for another month. In this program, we will offer a $200 credit towards your hosting fee for any customer you refer to us. If the customer you send signs up for our site development services and keeps their site active for a minimum of two months, we'll credit your account for $200, it's that simple!
-- New Email Account Pricing Policy
Beginning April 1st, we are making a pricing adjustment to our email services. Our pricing changes will only affect a small number of customers. We will begin offering a set number of email accounts per hosting package. We have made great improvements in the quality of our email services over the last year, particularly in offering an outstanding spam filtering system. But we have also faced increasing costs in providing email services. We will contact you directly if you will be affected by the pricing change.
-- New Email Subscription Option For Our Blog
Now it's even easier to keep up with the MightyMerchant eCommerce Blog. Our fabulous web developer Jesse Wakeley has helped us install an email subscriber option. Visit the MightyMerchant eCommerce Blog and enter your email address on the right side. You will then receive excerpts of every blog post, right in your inbox. If you choose to register, you will have access to an options screen allowing you to select whether you prefer the postings to be delivered in html or just plain text. You also have the option to select specific categories for your subscription, like Marketing & Promotion or Multimedia.
