Shared Attributes
If you sell items that have many options in common, you'll love the Shared Attributes feature. Shared Attributes allow you to set up your options and pricing one time, and then assign those attributes to an unlimited number of products.
The real power of shared attributes comes in when it's time to make changes in your options. This feature can save you hours. Let's say for example that you sell a product line with 30 products that come in the same 4 colors. Then the manufacturer adds a 5th color option. Instead of updating 30 different products, you need only add the 5th color one time!
You can combine shared pricing options with custom options on any product. For example, if multiple products share color choices, but not size choices you can easily set a product to use shared color choices but custom size choices. And get this, you can even set a product to use the shared color choices, but add just one color to this item.
Don't think color and size are the only options you can set up. You can set up options for anything. Some merchants use MightyMerchant to configure golf clubs, massage tables, pond supplies, custom embroidery, restaurant menus, and more. We have clients who use shared attributes to manage the pricing and options on hundreds of products.
