We wanted to take a moment to review the spam filtering capabilities of your email account. We recommend that you take about 10 minutes to understand how the spam filtering associated with your account works and select the settings that are right for you. Please note that the spam filtering has absolutely no bearing on your email if you do not have an email account hosted with MightyMerchant. If your email is forwarded to AOL, Earthlink, or another provider, you can skip this section.
Here are some of the key points to understand.
1. If you have an email account with MightyMerchant, it has spam filtering turned on by default.
2. You can check your spam messages by logging in to your webmail account and clicking the Spam folder on the left side of the page.
3. If you don't want to ever risk having a legitimate message caught in your spam filter, we recommend doing the following:
- log in to webmail.
- Click "Settings" and then "Manage Spam Options"
- Click "Include [SPAM] at the beginning of the subject line"
- Save your Settings.
When you have made this change, all mail will be delivered to your inbox. Spam messages will be tagged as [SPAM] in the subject line. Then you can use the filter settings of your email program to sort the mail how you prefer.
4. By default, your spam is stored on the server for up to 7 days or 250 messages, whichever is less. You can log in to your webmail account, as described in step 3 above, and adjust the amount of spam that is stored with your account.
5. We encourage you to visit our email support center and explore the range of features and capabilities associated with your MightyMerchant email account.
The link to webmail is your domain name followed by " /mail". For example, http://www.mydomain.com/mail.
