Summer is here with some important staff changes.
This past month has brought with it some big changes to our staff. Jeanie Dunn, our Account Manager and Project Manager, has left the company after five years with us. Jeanie was often the person our clients spoke with when they called us for the first time, and she will be missed. Jeanie plans to take the summer off and then explore her options for a new career. We wish Jeanie well on her new adventure.
Paige Pryor has joined us as our new Account and Project Manager for HEROWeb/MightyMerchant.
Paige graduated from the Defense Language Institute in 1989 as a certified Russian Linguist, and served in the US Army during Desert Storm. Her love of conversation and cultural exchange eventually evolved into an interest in Sales and Marketing. She has 16 years of formative work experience and training, culminating in her new position here at HEROWeb/MightyMerchant.
Paige relocated to Eugene from sunny Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and says she's fallen head over heels for the lush, mountainous landscape of Central Oregon. Weekends, you'll find her exploring her new surroundings, training for Roller Derby, or haunting thrift stores for vintage and pop culture treasures. She's a Film Noir junkie and freelance writer for environmental trade publications.
We're also pleased to announce that we have hired a new Director of Internet Marketing, Max Keele.
Marketing products and services on the Internet has been Max's primary occupation since the beginning of this millennium. He was into paid search early on, and has extensive experience with all the current techniques--SEO, Pay-Per-Click, direct feed, banner advertising, and email marketing. In the last eight years Max says he has seen the industry evolve from the simple (remember GoTo.com?) into a rich field of opportunity for the enterprising online business.
In his off-time, he writes fiction, plays guitar, watches movies, works on his house and yard, and enjoys life in the great Northwest with his lovely wife and a couple of peculiar cats.
Also, we would like to welcome our returning interns: Ahren Baesler, Charlie Offenbacher, and Teija Stearns.
Ahren Baesler graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in June. He is returning to work for his third summer at MightyMerchant. Ahren will be attending the University of Oregon where he plans to major in Business or Computer Science. In his spare time he likes to snowboard, play guitar, watch movies, listen to music, play video games, and hang out with friends.
Charlie Offenbacher also graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in June. He will be attending Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering in Boston, MA. Charlie's interests include playing piano, skiing, tennis, and photography.
Teija Stearns is returning for her second summer working at MightyMerchant. She will be a junior at Pleasant Hill High School.
