From your Order Manager you can edit the shipping vendor / method, enter the date shipped, add a custom note and a tracking number for any order. Upon saving the shipping details your customer will automatically receive an email notice that their order has been shipped. If you do not want to send out an email notification, simply uncheck the box for "Email Shipping Notice on Save".




When you set up your shipping methods in the Site Manager, you can modify the notification text for each method. You can include details about how the customer can track their order or when they can expect to receive their package. If you offer both FedEx and UPS shipping methods, you can include the link to the tracking pages for each particular vendor. Here's a sample notification:



 
As an added management tool you can view a history of your shipping notifications for any order. This is particularly helpful if you have an order that includes multiple shipments. There are quick links from your shipping history page to major shipping vendors so that you can easily track the progress of your customer's order.
